Home Health Aide
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed
Skills:
- Experience in dementia care and knowledge of appropriate care techniques
- Proficient in catheter care procedures
- Strong patient care skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic support
- Ability to lift and assist patients with mobility needs
- Knowledge of home care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Excellent cleanliness and hygiene practices
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals for patients
