JOB TITLE: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Production

SUPERVISOR: Production Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Shipping/Receiving clerk you will be responsible for properly and accurately accounting for incoming goods and materials. This position is also responsible for tracking and communicating the specifics related to outbound shipments in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains accurate electronic files to optimize quality, service and efficiency in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintains a productive and respectful two-way dialogue with customers, logistics companies and other MFC facilities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

● Inspect and sort incoming material and goods
● Compare packing lists to company purchase orders to verify accuracy and completeness
● Transfer, record, and organize materials of stocked goods into proper bin locations
● Operate lift truck
● Move material to proper production location
● Updating product inventory as material and goods are received
● Pack, crate, and ship parts and products.
● Label boxes

• Understand UPS & FEDEX ground shipments
• LTL shipment knowledge
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
• Other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

● High school diploma or general education (GED) and five years of relevant experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
● High attention to detail
● Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks
● Good mathematical skills

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

● Complete 90% of the job while standing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,200.00 - $35,360.00 per year
