The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager and Director of Ambulatory Rehabilitation Rehab Aide is a team member responsible for assisting clinical staff in ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.
The Rehab Aide is a member of the Ambulatory Rehabilitation department and is an important component in ensuring patient access and safety while receiving care.
The Rehab Aide will work to maintain a clean work environment during clinical operation hours, assist in opening and closing procedures and participate in key safety and supply processes as need dictates.
Duties relating to routine operation of the rehabilitation department, including department cleanliness, monitoring of equipment and supply inventories, maintenance and stocking linens may also be responsibilities of the Rehab Aide.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
95% of time-
5% - miscellaneous support services
Assist rehabilitation team members with duties such as faxing, copying, and completing errands to procure supplies for patient care and team support purposes.
Observes hospital and departmental polices and procedures related to infection control, dept emergencies and disaster preparedness.
Assists with the orientation and training of volunteers.
Organizational Expectations
Practices within the Medical Center's policies and procedures. Demonstrates positive patient / guest relations, positive and effective interactions with staff, and formulating and meeting developmental goals.
Minimum Required Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
