The DECC Company, is seeking a Quality Engineer. The primary duties of this position include supporting the Quality department with technical, administrative, and engineering activities including but not limited to:
· Develops and initiates quality system standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
· Develops processes and procedures for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
· Coordinates and oversees PPAP activities.
· Coordinates efforts to evaluate and maintain precision and accuracy of testing, measurement, and analytical equipment.
· Supports APQP launch development efforts.
· Oversees and manages the entire scope of IMDS requirements and ensures compliance.
· Oversees NCM activities.
· Manages the gauge control process.
· Develops work instructions for inspection and calibration.
· Coordinates lab testing.
· Performs quality process walks for compliance with stated requirements.

To be successful, candidates must also have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience with OEM Automotive requirements (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, etc).
· Knowledge of IMDS.
· Familiarity with ISO and CQI standards.
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with PLEX preferred.
· Internal auditor training preferred.
· Experience working with quality measurement tools such as: Calipers, micrometers and thickness measuring tools (i.e. Fischerscope).
