Responsibilities (RD) Certified Registered Dietitian:
- Conducts comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents, considering their medical conditinos, dietary restriction & individual needs
- Develops and implements individualized meal plans based on the assessed nutritional needs and preferences of residents
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the meal plans, making necessary adjustments as required
- Provides nutrition eduication and counseling to residents, their families and staff
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies related to food safety, sanitation & nutrition
- Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines related to food safety, sanitation and nutrition
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying updated with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and long term care
- May also be involved in menu planning, food procurement & staff training related to nutrition and dietary requirements
- Other duties as required by Administrator
- RD- Registered Dietitian OR CD- Certified Dietitian experience required
- Ability to work independently or part of a group.
- Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be an (RD) Registered Dietitian OR (CD) Certified Dietitian
- Serv-Safe Certification
- Licensure/Certification/ Registration per state requirements
- Compliant with the state health care worker background check requirements
