SUMMARY: Supporting MEM’s overall corporate strategy and initiatives, the Learning Experience Designer focuses on ensuring learning solutions are designed to incorporate the proper learning approach to achieve intended outcomes. Partnering with key stakeholders, the Learning Experience Designer is accountable for incorporating elements of a portfolio approach to talent development that leverages formal instruction, learning through others, and learning through experiences, in a remote-first work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties listed below are representative of the essential duties and responsibilities for this role. Other duties may be assigned .
Talent Development/Learning Experience Design:
  • Lead the execution of MEM’s talent development strategy.
  • Own and drive creative learning design for the organization.
  • Develop and implement standards and tools for learning experiences to be leveraged across the organization.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate individual, team and organizational development needs.
  • Participate in the design of MEM’s leadership development strategy and lead the development of related leadership development experiences.
  • Recommend, develop, and administer learning programs, policies, and practices that promote career development, diversity, and inclusion, and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Design and develop necessary learning collateral including facilitator and participant materials, presentation media, job aids, and knowledge checks. Finalize materials through reviews, developmental tests, pilots, etc.
  • Evaluate and ensure effectiveness of learning experiences.
  • Track key learning metrics.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing input and content expertise on learning and development solutions.
  • Facilitate training as needed and prepare others for effective facilitation.
Learning Technology
  • Manage and optimize MEM’s Learning Management System.
  • Leverage technology and to develop and execute learning experiences in a remote-first work environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of, and experiment with, trending technologies and approaches to create interactive, results-based learning experiences.
Partnerships and Relationship Management
  • Partner with stakeholders to determine and document learner engagement strategies, expected outcomes, and evaluation plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to MEM’s internal training partners.
  • Collaborate with others within and across departments to design and facilitate learning experiences, including employee onboarding.
  • Partner with MEM’s leaders to understand business and employee needs and ensure the design and delivery of effective, leading-edge learning and development experiences .
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Development, Business Administration, Organization Development, Psychology, or related area. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 5 or more years of experience in talent development, including designing learning experiences is required.
Certification in instructional design, learning experience design, or equivalent experience required.
Experience developing training solutions for a wide audience leveraging multiple modalities to support a remote-first work environment.
Experience With Course Authoring Tools Like Articulate (preferred).Experience with leadership, soft-skills, and technical learning.
Experience with Learning Management System administration.
Designations/Certifications: Certification in instructional design, learning experience design, or equivalent experience required.
