Kokopelli Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant Near Fruita, CO
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations and blood draws
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Take X-rays of animals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a veterinary technician program preferred
- Registered as a veterinary technician (RVT) or veterinary assistant (VA) is a plus
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is highly desirable
- Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common diseases
- Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
