Job Description: Position Summary Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners is seeking an exceptional Director of Construction to join its team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development and Construction, this person will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of site and building construction for multiple retail/commercial projects. The Director of Construction position is located in Frisco, Texas. Essential Job Functions Manage construction aspect of all projects to include, but not limited to: project scheduling (from permitting through completion of construction; construction contracts and administration; routine construction meetings on and off site; monthly pay applications and approvals; all associated project testing; change orders; project invoicing and cost management; and closeout documentation Create preliminary budgets for all projects Create and manage overall schedules for all projects Work closely with the Director of Development to ensure that the design for all sites including architectural, civil engineering, landscape design, signage, etc. is per the lease requirements. Manage information and reporting aspects of all projects using Expesite, including documentation control, project milestones and cost reporting for overall project from permitting through completion of construction Manage outside consultants assigned to specific projects, this includes: Geotech consultant; Environmental engineers; Architects; Civil Engineers; Surveyors; and Sign Vendors Travel may be approximately 50% of working time Preferred Qualifications Excellent track record of on-time, in-budget performance Proactive & solutions-oriented; innovative Learning agile, able to adapt quickly and appropriately in accordance with the constant evolution of the company and industry Responsive to client needs Collaborative, energized by the open exchange of ideas Strong attention to detail; accurate Basic Qualifications Minimum of 10 years in development and construction of retail/commercial buildings Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree is required; a major or concentration in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or related discipline is preferred. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project, as well as web-based project management software system similar to Expesite Salary Base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
