Texas Gulf Bank is Hiring an Universal Banker (Teller/New Accounts) Near Freeport, TX

General Description:

This full-time position consists of duties that include providing financial assistance and sales of bank products and services as well as processing various teller transactions for new and existing customers in a courteous, knowledgeable, and professional manner. Primary duties will be opening personal and commercial accounts, including CDs and IRAs, as well as pulling credit reports for consumer loans. In addition, this position will be responsible for taking deposits, cashing checks, withdrawals, issuing money orders, cash advances on credit cards, cashiers’ checks, etc.

Skills and Characteristics for Applicants:

The qualified individual should have excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and should be self-motivated and show initiative. The preferred candidate will have two to five years of similar experience and a strong knowledge of banking products and regulations. Although a basic schedule will be set, this individual must be flexible and willing to work assigned schedule changes.

Educational Requirements:

Educational background requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
