Soliant Education is currently seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers to join our team for summer school positions in the Newtown, Connecticut area.

Position Overview :
Position 1 : Resource K-2
- Dates : July 8th - August 1st
- Hours : 8 : 00 am - 11 : 00 am
- Schedule : Monday-Thursday (no ESY on Fridays)
- Grade Level : Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
Position 2 : Self-Contained, Grades 3-5
- Dates : July 8th - August 8th
- Hours : 8 : 00 am - 1 : 00 pm
- Schedule : Monday-Thursday (no ESY on Fridays)
- Grade Level : 3rd Grade to 5th Grade
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide instruction tailored to students' unique learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support student success.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and academic growth.
Qualifications :
- Valid Connecticut teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
