Ambleside School of Fredericksburg is a school that practices the time-tested educational philosophy and methods of British educator Charlotte Mason. **Overview:**

Lead teachers at Ambleside are the relational center of the grade-level classroom with no more than 16 students. Lead teachers must be well-rounded, curious, people who desire to learn and grow in their craft as a teacher as well as a person who appreciates the diverse range of ideas that permeate the classroom.

**Responsibilities:**

- Learn to master the Ambleside and Charlotte Mason method of education

- Provide instruction in various subjects such as Literature, Science, Poetry, Nature Study, handwriting, phonics, spelling, history, and music appreciation

- Provide individualized support to students who require extra assistance

- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success

- Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal development

**Experience:**

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

- Experience working with elementary school students

- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

- Ability to proofread and assess student work accurately

Pay: $45,650.00 - $55,000.00 per year
