CSL USA is Hiring a Custodian Near Franksville, WI

Department: Administrative Positions Supervised: None
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: HR and Safety Manager
Hours: Part-Time (20 hours/week)
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBThe Custodian is responsible for upholding the health and safety of our facility’s staff, contractors, visitors and customers by ensuring proper housekeeping and sanitation guidelines are upheld. CSL USA, Inc. is a probiotic manufacturing facility that upholds the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including sanitation and pest control, to ensure the products we produce are safe for the people and animals who consume them. We respect ordinances, regulations, and the environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Cleaning restrooms and locker rooms including, but not limited to, floors, walls, toilets, sinks etc
  • Cleaning breakroom, offices, stairwells, administrative and lab hall areas
  • Mopping and vacuuming floors, in shared areas and offices (incl. tile, linoleum, and other floors)
  • Dusting and sanitizing all surfaces, door handles etc. in shared areas and offices
  • Breakroom duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning kitchen sink and drain trap, countertop, interior and exterior of cabinets and refrigerator, and daily upkeep of dirty/clean dishes and dishwasher
  • Keep breakroom drink station stocked and clean. Working with Procurement to order breakroom supplies and maintain supplies stocked
  • Emptying trash cans and recycling bins, and cleaning the receptacles on a regular basis
  • Washing windows
  • Cleaning ceiling vents
  • Light maintenance duty such as paint touch ups
  • Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners
  • General outdoor upkeep including, but not limited to, watering plants, cleaning patio furniture and emptying smoking receptacles, and seasonal duties
  • Perform non-critical sanitation duties in shared GMP areas in Production and Laboratories, such as hallways and stairwells, per established frequency and GMP procedures
  • Working with Procurement to order cleaning supplies and maintain cleaning supplies stocked
  • Maintaining a thorough inventory of supplies
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of time worked and duties completed
  • Communicate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning tasks
  • Communicate with Leadership Team re: continuous improvement opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
