Electro Spec is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Franklin, IN

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for inspecting various customer parts to ensure that they meet the customer’s specifications.

  • Ability to read, understand and follow work orders, work instructions and procedures.
  • Perform inspection on components using a variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and/or finished parts.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, dimension tolerances, and technical specifications
  • Record inspection and/or test data
  • Check incoming orders to ensure that they match work orders and submit discrepancy reports, as necessary
  • Weigh materials, products, containers, or samples to verify packaging quantities
  • Ability to identify defective conditions and test failures
  • Verify that forms are up to date and the latest revision number is being used.
  • Participate in audits of moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test functions for compliance
  • Observes all company policies and procedures, including safety rules, and maintains a clean work area
  • Maintain a high level of performance
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, bend and twist
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Ability to look into a microscope for long periods of time
  • Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Coordination of a high degree of manual dexterity with sustained visual attention
  • Experience exercising sound judgment and decision making skills
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and commonly used computer programs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of inspection or calibration experience or the demonstrated ability to perform described tasks.
