Henis Group is Hiring a Supply Chain Planner Near Fountain, SC

Position Overview: The Buyer and Planner will be responsible for managing purchase orders, vendor relationships, and production schedules to ensure efficient operations and cost savings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. This role requires a proactive individual who can balance demand requirements with healthy cash flow and maintain high MRP health.

Responsibilities:

As a Buyer:

  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate pricing, quantities, and supplier on-time delivery.
  • Balance goods receipts with demand requirements to support healthy cash flow.
  • Send out RFQs and negotiate with vendors to achieve cost savings goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and supply base, including spend power, RTVs, and vendor consolidation.
  • Find ways to mitigate price increases and meet cost savings targets.
  • Maintain source lists in accordance with approved vendor lists and vendor approval processes.
  • Manage safety stocks, lead times, and other MRP parameters for managed commodities.

As a Planner:

  • Create and maintain a production schedule, considering capacity and material availability.
  • Work with the production team to ensure smooth work-in-progress (WIP) flow and improve on-time delivery.
  • Manage on-time production order releases and address aged WIP issues.
  • Investigate and reconcile production order variances.
  • Assist in determining production priorities to achieve monthly revenue goals.
  • Maintain high MRP health by managing safety stocks, lead times, and other parameters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably as a Buyer or Planner.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Strong leadership potential.

Preferred Skills:

  • APICS certifications.
  • Experience with SAP/ERP systems.
