Texas Centers for Infectious Disease Associates, P.A. is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Fort Worth, TX

 

Position Summary

Facilitate and coordinate patient appointments to include scheduling, verifying insurance, collecting patient payments, and compiling medical charts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Scan patient insurance cards into eCW and verify insurance.
  • Collect patient copay, co-insurance, or deductible if applicable.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls and triage to appropriate staff members if necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, care coordinators, patients, and pharmacy staff.
  • Address outgoing referral requests from providers.
  • Maintain flexibility and help others as needed throughout the day. 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Proficient in the use of EMR & Practice Management systems
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining focused on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work well with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
