Graceful Aging Home Care is Hiring a Caregiver Near Fort Wayne, IN

Caregivers provide services to individuals in their own homes, who need assistance caring for themselves because of old age, sickness, disability and/or other afflictions. Caregivers are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with Graceful Aging Home Care’s policies and industry standards. Comprehensive health and dental insurance offered. Paid holidays. Please note that Graceful Aging Home Care's home office is located in Indianapolis, but we have offices and serve clients throughout the state of Indiana. FT, PT and PRN positions available.

Job Duties:

  • Follow the written care plan.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, dressing etc.).
  • Ensure client’s safety and security by supervising the home environment.
  • Provide companionship including social interactions, conversations, and emotional reassurance and encouragement of activities that stimulate the mind.
  • Meal planning and preparation.
  • Light housekeeping (making/changing beds, vacuuming, laundry etc.).
  • Medication Reminders.
  • Provide transportation and assistance running errands (grocery store, bank, pharmacy etc.).
  • Complete and maintain client records.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of personal care and home management skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal care services, including needs determinants, meeting quality standards and evaluation of client satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the English language.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures such as maintaining records and completing forms.

Qualifications/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CNA or HHA license preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Proper vehicle insurance coverage.
