Ameresco is seeking a Controls Installer to work on new construction and retrofit projects in commercial buildings, hospitals, and industrial facilities around the Fort Myers area.
The Controls Installer will also install Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.
Responsibilities :
Performs a variety of technical functions, such as proper installation of control wiring, conduit, control panels and proper project record documentation.
Ensures client expectations are met, and takes a lead role in developing client relationships.
Establishes and maintains open communication with clients, business partners, and other internal stakeholders, in order to keep all essential project activities running smoothly.
Assists with the development and improvement of related processes, procedures, and tools.
Reinforces safe work practices, and ensures all safety requirements are adhered to, in accordance with the safety program of the Company.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
GED or equivalent diploma.
Additional Qualifications :
Must be familiar with proper use of PPE and basic OSHA rules.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams.
Must be familiar with materials, equipment and devices commonly used in commercial electrical installations.
Must be familiar with common wiring methods used on commercial electrical projects.
Must be familiar with basic lighting control circuitry.
Must be able to install and make terminations inside panel boards, VFDs, DDC and similar equipment.
Must have good knowledge of NEC requirements for common installations in commercial projects.
Capable of operating scissor lifts.
Possessing a journeyman license is a plus.
OSHA 10 is a plus.
This is considered a medium work position, which means possible exertion of up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to thirty (30) pounds of force frequently, and / or up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
