Duties/Responsibilities:
- Transport steel materials from one location to another using a flatbed truck.
- Inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
- Secure the load with straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage during transit.
- Deliver the cargo on time and in good condition.
- Maintain accurate records of the trip, including fuel consumption, mileage, and hours of service.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations- safety is priority!
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers.
Qualifications:
- Class B license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate a flatbed truck with ease.
- Ability to work solo or in a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
