Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (locals preferred)
Duration: 6 months
Job Description: As a Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the architecture and infrastructure that supports our data ecosystem. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a passion for working with data. If you are excited about turning raw data into actionable insights and have a knack for building scalable and efficient data solutions, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines for acquiring, processing, and transforming data from various sources.
- Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
- Develop and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move and integrate data across different systems.
- Create and maintain data models to support business requirements and analytical needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Implement data quality checks and ensure data consistency and accuracy throughout the data pipeline.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, pipelines, and models.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, demonstrating expertise in data pipeline development, database management, and ETL processes.
- Proficient in SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Postgress, AWS, PowerShell/Python.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with data modeling and schema design.
- Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud-based data platforms is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
