Phoenix Therapies+ is Hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist Near Forest Hill, MD

Phoenix Speech Therapy, LLC doing business as Phoenix Therapies is seeking a dynamic and dedicated pediatric OT to join our growing team at our Forest Hill location in Harford County, MD! This role is a part-time position currently, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Phoenix Therapies is a therapist-owned and certified woman-owned private practice that provides customized therapy & education services based in our outpatient clinic in Forest Hill. We promote quick and efficient carry-over and improved clinical outcomes towards client goals, using the foundation of executive function coaching. We are a small business that prides ourselves on encouraging all of our clients to rise above their challenges and discover their inner phoenix!

The OT candidate will be expected to provide competent and compassionate therapy and parent training, while allowing for creativity and flexibility within the sessions. The candidate will be expected to represent Phoenix Therapies and honor the high expectations of providing the best occupational therapy services for families in our community, while practicing at the top of their license. We evaluate and treat children of all ages with various conditions and challenges. The candidate should have competencies in working with early intervention, sensory needs, fine motor skills, and social skills. The ideal candidate will also be open to identifying feeding concerns, as well as learning additional skill sets and approaches and working collaboratively with other disciplines.

You WILL NOT be responsible for building your caseload, billing, scheduling, or working with insurance!

Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, with consideration to client’s and families’ needs and interests
  • Develop and implement treatment programs focused on the family's goals
  • Maintain documentation consistent with Phoenix Therapies expectations for all therapy sessions, as well as AOTA guidelines
  • Maintain appropriate professional affiliations for state and national licensure/certifications
  • Participate in preschool and/or daycare screenings

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited college/university
  • Licensure: Current Maryland state license in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience: Preferred, but not required-One (1) year as a pediatric Licensed Occupational Therapist; New graduates welcome
  • Additional certifications such as CAS, assistive technology professional, or feeding, eating and swallowing are a bonus but not required.

Compensation is based on years of experience and competencies in areas within the scope of occupational therapy.
