- Providing onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming or maintenance services for FANUC Robots and related system peripheral equipment.
- Providing telephone-based troubleshooting through the Hotline to support customers in resolving operational problems.
- Documenting FANUC products and related peripheral equipment performance and failure modes.
- Reporting daily to Service Management to update status & availability.
- Completing a Service Report for each customer call.
- Maintaining a service tool kit to facilitate rapid customer response.
- Returning parts shipped for the service call but not purchased by the customer or defective parts replaced under warranty.
- Providing technical support to various parts of FANUC America.
- Providing informal on-site training to customers employees to improve their abilities.
- Collecting data for failure investigation for reoccurring problems that may result from product design or manufacture errors.
- Programming and path editing of FANUC robots and related peripheral equipment to restore, optimize system performance.
- Previous experience with FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment.
- Previous experience with FANUC application software and programming.
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic.
- Ability to utilize common PC and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA Laws.
- Well-developed technical writing and communication skills.
- Able to work at customer sites with little direct supervision.
- Able to direct the activities of other FANUC employees at a customer site.
- Associate's Degree in an Applied Science or equivalent technical education preferred.
- Some Robotics Integration/Installation/Service experience preferred.
