BenefEx is Hiring a Client Services Representative Near Florham Park, NJ

Client Services Representative

This position is responsible for client management, including all pre- and post-sale requirements. Includes working with the sales team to gather demographic data for group medical and other employee benefit proposals. Works with appropriate service providers to request proposals. Once sold, responsible for onboarding new clients and ensuring all appropriate systems are updated with client information. Handles client inquiries throughout the policy lifecycle and at renewal. Identifies any cross-selling opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Take inquiries from clients on a wide variety of issues and provide solutions through insurance and employee benefit expertise, research of plan documents and/or consultation with carriers.
  • Resolve billing issues, claims issues, deduction issues and other client concerns.
  • Perform associated tasks, including entry of demographic data.
  • Work independently, needs little help in resolving client issues.
  • New Business Onboarding: Tracks approval, final rates, and final enrollment results. Responsible for keying client information and rates / results into systems in a timely manner.
  • Review new client information and prepares payroll deductions and other enrollment reports for the client.
  • Gather necessary data on clients at renewal time to request alternative / competitive proposals from other carriers.
  • Identify opportunities for other Employee Benefit Services and Insurance products (i.e., P.O.P. / / FSA programs) and ancillary products (i.e., Life / AD&D, Dental, Vision, Disability)
  • Escalate client issues, as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED required; college degree preferred
  • Currently Licensed for Life Accident and Health in NJ
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable with phone calls and in person interaction with clients and service providers
  • Easily adapt to new technologies, including Agency Management Systems and web-based platforms
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Work well independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced, changing environment
