Essential Duties:
- Manages and adheres to budget guidelines with strong ability to handle contract negotiation with Management approvals.
- Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantees.
- Reviews annually and develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
- Establishes account/credit and terms.
- Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers
- Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws.
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years related buyer/procurement/supply chain experience and/or training; experience in the medical or medical device industry highly preferred.
- APICS certification highly desired.
- Kaizen and/or lean manufacturing experience a plus.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing systems, MS Office and advanced excel skills necessary.
- MS D365 experience preferred.
