Purchasing Specialist

  • Location: Florham Park, NJ
  • Experience: 5 years - Medical Device preferred

Ideal candidates will have medical device purchasing experience along with strong MS Office, Excel and MS D365 is a huge plus!

Essential Duties:

  • Manages and adheres to budget guidelines with strong ability to handle contract negotiation with Management approvals.
  • Negotiates with vendors for goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantees.
  • Reviews annually and develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
  • Establishes account/credit and terms.
  • Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers
  • Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
  • Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws.
  • Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years related buyer/procurement/supply chain experience and/or training; experience in the medical or medical device industry highly preferred.
  • APICS certification highly desired.
  • Kaizen and/or lean manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing systems, MS Office and advanced excel skills necessary.
  • MS D365 experience preferred.
