Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will contribute to the financial success of our medical practice by ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement from insurance companies.

Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems
- Enter coded data into the billing system with precision and attention to detail
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any issues or discrepancies
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
- Stay updated on industry changes and advancements in medical coding and billing practices

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or coding preferred
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9), and medical billing processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and data entry
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
