Accountability: The V100 CNC Set Up Operator will maintain and monitor 3 - 4 large Versatech machining centers to meet the production demand. Ensuring the equipment is properly set up and running the most efficiently as possible. This is a second shift position. The hours for this position are M-TH 3:30pm-2am.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
• Load and unload mid size cast iron work piece on machine fixtures to run production parts
• Use overhead crane to set up and load fixtures onto machine using general hand tools, scales, and tape measures
• Program starts, re-starts and or rework using G&M code programming logic
• Familiar with Computers to interact with a Palletech System
• Setup, change and maintain tooling as needed
• Maintain equipment for good working operation
• Maintain oil, lube and coolant on a daily/weekly basis
• Perform accuracy checks where applicable and record for ISO documentation using metric gaging

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 2 yr. Manufacturing degree or Vocational School is preferred

Skills:

• Previous CNC equipment operation, background using large double column machining centers.
• Hands on training as a CNC Machine operator or Set up Operator in related field is required
• Familiar with G&M code programming
• Ability to do set up work - set up of fixtures using common hand tools, scales and measuring tape
• Ability to use indicators, micrometers & bore gages for part inspections and set up.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of metric system
• Overhead crane experience
• 5X machining background a plus
• Working knowledge of different types of tooling is a plus
