Taylor Environmental Group, Inc., is looking for a motivated self-starter to join our organization as a PCM analyst. In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for receiving / logging in test items, sample handling, preparation of samples for phase contrast / polarized light microscopy analysis, calibration of equipment, and the analysis of air samples by NIOSH 7400A (Issue #3, June 14, 2019) and in accordance with applicable TEG Standard Operating Procedures (‘SOP’s.)
Job Summary:
1. Receive and inspect test items
2. Log in samples and complete chain of custody documentation
3. Prepare air and bulk samples for analysis
4. Calibrate rotameters associated with air sampling equipment
5. Analyze air samples by phase contract microscopy NIOSH Method 7400A
6. Additional requirements as necessary to assist the laboratory in meeting established goals and objectives.
Required Skills/Experience:
1. High School Diploma
2. Proficiency in basic computer programs including Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
3. Pass written writing & math tests to verify competency in basic writing / math skills
4. Must possess a strong attention to detail, good communication and housekeeping skills
5. Valid NYS Identification
6. Reliable transportation
7. Proof of eligibility to work in United States
8. At least 2 references
Bonus Skills/Knowledge:
1. Prior laboratory experience
2. College degree in related scientific field
3. Experience using microscopes

TEG offers full time benefits: medical, 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off. The pay range for this position starts from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
