**This is a REMOTE position (you will just need to come to the facility for orientation)**
There are 2 openings for this position. For one position the applicant must be either an LPC, LMSW, licensed psychologist or LMFT.
Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 5:30 am - 8:30 am
Responsibilities:
-Assess the client and perform bio-psycho-social assessment
-Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess client's substance abuse history and mental health status
-Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients struggling with substance abuse
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation
- Provide education and support to clients' families regarding addiction and recovery
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and commitment to treatment
- Stay current on best practices in addiction counseling and attend professional development opportunities
-Develop discharge plan in collaboration with the client, family, healthcare team, and external agencies to promote optimum outcomes
Skills:
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate behavior change
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess client's mental health status and substance abuse history
- Experience in mental health counseling, particularly related to addiction treatment
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client interaction
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program required.
Qualifications: Clinical licensure in the State of Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, LMFT)
