LABORATORY ANALYST

DESCRIPTION: Advanced Biofermentation Services, Inc. (ABS) is seeking to hire a Lab Analyst. ABS is a technology company offering proprietary biofermentation processes for industrial and municipal wastewater facilities along with environmental consulting, laboratory and field services support.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Comply with internal and client safety requirements
• Perform biological and chemical tests on wastewater samples submitted by customers
• Enter results into Excel spreadsheets
• Review and analyze client data
• Report findings to management and/or client
• Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies
• Ensure laboratory housekeeping standards are met
• Maintain good communication and relationships with clients
• Assist with additional projects as requested
• Occasional overnight travel to client sites might be required

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note) and general personal computer skills
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with management and colleagues via phone, e-mail, etc.
• Ability to work independently once trained

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• Bachelr’s degree in Chemistry or Biology
• Experience in wastewater treatment and related laboratory analysis
