Cobalt Communications an established and fast-growing company in St. Louis, is seeking an experienced technician for the position of Audio/Video Installer. This immediate, full-time position at our new Fenton, MO headquarters will be responsible for installing Audio/Video equipment, surveillance system, and networking components, while making sure all systems are functional and giving the customer a demo of the systems. Understanding of Control4, Crestron, AMX, QSC and other control systems a plus.

The successful candidate will:

• Install and integrate automation systems, flat panels, projectors, conference room, audio distribution, security cameras, and termination and installation of cable/wires
• Run cables/wires for new & existing construction
• Be able to train and coach the customer on how to use their system to the best of its ability

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Requires the ability to lift 50-60 lbs and raise things overhead
• Must have clean driving record.
• Able to read blueprints, system wiring schematics and building documentation/layouts
• Provide courteous customer service to new and existing customers
• Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools while adhering to all the safety protocols
• An understanding of signal flows and control systems for distributed audio, video and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
• Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new construction and retrofit projects
• Must be able to pass background check which pertains to security licensing

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ideal candidates are customer service oriented, energetic and personable
• Knowledge of audio visual equipment and troubleshooting is preferred
• Experience with home automation is preferred
• Pre-Wire Experience, New and Retrofit Construction
• Prior experience with networking protocols, LAN/WAN concepts, and TCP/IP
