What You’ll do as a Bobtail Driver:

Bobtail drivers are responsible for the safe and accurate pick up and delivery of fuel products from Kent Distributor Inc. Drivers will also have responsibilities of building customer relationships, maintain warehouse supplies, and deliver products from the warehouse.

1. Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials.

2. Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

3. Maintain working and driving time on worksheet.

4. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions as needed.

5. Supervise loading and unloading of product off truck.

6. Return all delivery tickets to supervisor for daily invoicing.

7. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

8. Collect, read and interpret dispatch and maps to determine vehicle routes.

9. Work overtime as needed.

10. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.

11. Collect payments from customers as needed.

12. Verify all products have been unloaded at delivery site meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

13. Report a

ll customer concerns and complaints to supervisor.

14. Safe and efficient operation of forklift as needed.

15. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

16. Assist warehouse person as needed.

17. Willingness to perform other duties that may be assigned by Management.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) with 6 months work experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with X Endorsement, airbrakes
• HAZMAT endorsement required

Schedule: Regular hours Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. May be required to work occasional weekends during busy season.

Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
