WORK ARRANGEMENTS :

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our office locations (Clinton, NY or San Antonio, TX) will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Process claims and premium coding transactions in accordance with established guidelines.
• Coding claims and premium transactions, processing all transaction types within all lines of business, researching, and validating policy and coverage information, monitoring policies, ensure timely execution, and execute month-end provisional booking.
• Learn and apply new training materials.
• Efficient use of business systems / applications including ASPIR, CCPS, Siebel, IDARS, CLA.
• Effectively utilize resource manuals and reference materials.
• Individuals must effectively balance productivity standards while also maintaining quality score expectations, strong time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands.
• Able to adjust to shifting priorities to meet the demands of the business needs.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills networking with underwriting, billing, claims, agents, and Peers.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage daily work activities to balance multiple priorities.
• Understand and align work plans, activities, and decisions to help fulfill all commitments within established time frames.
• Strive to seek opportunities to learn and acquire new skills while learn and understanding the functions of the department and how they impact other departments.
• Maintain a high level of performance as measured by traditional and contemporary performance indicators to seek a balance of quality, productivity, and strong behaviors.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Hours : Monday Friday 8 : 00am 4 : 30pm local time
• Insurance experience (preferred)
• Coding Experience (preferred)
• You can confidently handle a variety of requests with a strong attention to detail, exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• You can effectively communicate while also using computer systems to research and process information, as necessary.
• You have prior customer interaction experience (preferred)
• You maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• INTERNET : For full-time, occasional, part-time, or remote positions : (1) high speed broadband internet service is required, we do not recommend or support DSL, wireless, Wi-Fi, Hotspots, Fiber without a modem and Satellite;
• 2) Internet provider supplied modem / router / gateway is hardwired to the Hartford issued computer with an ethernet cable;

and (3) minimum upload / download speeds of 10Mbps / 100 Mbps will be required. To confirm whether your Internet system has sufficient speeds, please visit from your personal computer.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role.

The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.

The annualized base pay range for this role is :

$40,685 - $61,027
