- Develop and translate requirements into actionable designs
- Design viable, robust production equipment and tools which meet or exceed requirements
- Create project plans for automation development to meet organizational needs
- Manage the project life cycle
- Collaborate with production, manufacturing and facilities engineers to review new and updated machine designs
- Prepare feasibility studies to justify the purchase or building of new equipment
- Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical agricultural or other engineering field
- More than 3 years experience of designing automation equipment, machinery or robotics systems
- Working knowledge of Solidworks
- Strong understanding of PLCs and of automation
- Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
