    From $64,812.30 to $79,209.90
    This position is contingent on the availability of specific funding and may be subject to non-renewal following the 2022-23 school year based on the unavailability or uncertainty of funding. Internal staff that apply and are appointed to Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) funded positions will be returned to a position similar to the one they vacated at the end of the prior school or fiscal year. Internal staff that backfill for a staff member that applied for and were appointed to an ESSER funded position will be returned to a position similar to the one they vacated at the end of the prior school or fiscal year.
    Position Purpose: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior analysis services and behavior management plans for both students who receive special education services in self-contained classrooms and across school programs. The BCBA will also be responsible for providing professional development opportunities for certified and non-certified Fargo Public Schools staff, participate in district level committees and provide training support to families.
    Responsibilities:
    Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of state and professional standards for behavior management and the implementation of applied behavioral analysis.
    Keep current with literature, new research findings and resources
    Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments with school staff for students who have behavior concerns and are receiving supports through special education services.
    Create and adjust plans for students who require specific behavior interventions.
    Collaborate with building and district leadership to develop and modify BCBA programming as needed.
    Direct work with students who present complex and challenging behaviors (case by case basis).
    Model various strategies and techniques to assist staff in the implementation of behavior intervention plans, social skills facilitation, and strategies to promote independence and optimal learning across various school settings.
    Participate in skills-based assessments, analyze data, and recommend programming based on data analysis.
    Attend building level IEP reviews and other school meetings, when requested.
    Develop and provide professional development for certified and non-certified staff in service delivery, data collection, and general information regarding behavior analysis.
    Participate in required and other job-related professional development activities to improve or maintain certification/skills.
    Participate in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.
    Minimum Qualifications: (Must meet one of the following three combinations of education and experience)
    Acceptable graduate degree from an accredited university, completion of acceptable graduate coursework in behavior analysis, and a defined period of supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam OR
    Acceptable graduate degree, a full-time faculty position in behavior analysis that includes research and teaching, and supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam OR
    Acceptable doctoral degree that was conferred at least 10 years ago and at least 10 years’ post-doctoral practical experience to apply for the BCBA exam.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in K-12 educational setting.
    Experience working with “at-risk” students and families.
