The Editor meticulously reviews content, identifies, and corrects grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and ensures adherence to our editorial style guide. This role ensures consistency in language, style, and formatting to elevate the readability and impact of written works. Job Responsibilities
- Proofreads content and corrects spelling and grammar.
- Edits documents by rewriting content to ensure clear and concise language without sacrificing accuracy.
- Maintains extreme attention to detail, along with an eye for the big picture — understanding how copy and design can coexist is every bit as important as knowing where to place a comma.
- Applies knowledge of AP Style.
- Ensures all copy meets brand standards, tone, and voice.
- Collaborates with multiple team members, effectively receiving and providing feedback.
- Maintains regular communication through meetings and email with both Marketers and Physicians.
- Using superior written and verbal communication skills, provides effective advice, counsel, and coaching to senior leaders as well as peers.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Experience - 5 years of experience proofreading and editing in a professional capacity
Education - Bachelor's Degree in advertising, marketing, writing, or journalism'
Additional Requirements - Must be able to provide writing samples.
