Commission Analyst:

Job Summary:

The Commission Analyst will be responsible for the accurate calculation, analysis, and reporting of sales commissions.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets.

The Commission Analyst will collaborate closely with the sales, and finance departments to ensure commission plans are executed accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

Commission Calculation and Processing:

  • Calculate sales commissions for employees based on various commission plans and agreements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of commissions in accordance with established schedules.

Data Management:

  • Collect, validate, and analyze sales data to ensure accurate commission calculations.
  • Maintain and update commission databases and spreadsheets.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and distribute commission reports to sales teams and management.
  • Analyze commission data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Create, Maintain and Appropriately present to Management.

Collaboration and Communications

  • Work closely with the sales team to understand commission structures and resolve any related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with finance and HR departments regarding commission-related matters.

Audit and Compliance

  • Conduct regular audits of commission calculations and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement and monitor controls to prevent and detect errors or fraud.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 2 to 4 years of job experience.
  • Proven experience in commission calculation, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of sales operations and commission structures.
  • Experience in the technology or sales industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and other financial software.
