Description
SAIC is seeking a Director of Engineering / Engineering Lead on the Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program in support of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The selected candidate will manage personnel and efforts in alignment with the customers top priorities and strategic initiatives.
NOTE: This position is a fully remote/work from home position with a possibility of limited travel within the United States
- Responsible for managing individuals, processes, and workloads, ensuring we have the correct talent and are meeting the customer requirements.
- Manage engineering efforts, aligning efforts with USACE’s top priorities and understanding those priorities through relationships with key customers.
- Shepherd the ingestion and prioritization of requirements and the transition to Operations and Maintenance, working with staff and counterparts in operations, cyber and project management.
- Ensure Engineering remains within budget while maintaining the right mix of technical talent.
- Provide information as required to the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager and others as required, to maintain program execution.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree and eighteen (18) years or more related experience of leading engineering efforts; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more related experience.
- Experience leading engineering teams in support of the Department of Defense.
- Must have 7 years of direct experience managing people in a DoD environment.
CLEARANCE:
- Active Public Trust; ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
