Urban Stone, Inc. is Hiring a Quality Control Inspector Near Fallbrook, CA

As a Shop Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that stone products meet quality standards and specifications before they are shipped to customers or used in projects. Your responsibilities will include inspecting stone materials, identifying defects or inconsistencies, and implementing quality control measures to maintain high product quality and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Verify material specifications and dimensions against work orders and project requirements.
  • Identify any defects, irregularities, or damage in stone slabs or blocks and document findings for resolution.
  • Monitor production processes and workflows to ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of stone fabrication equipment, tools and machinery to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address any issues or concerns related to quality or efficiency.
  • Measure and verify dimensional accuracy of fabricated stone products, including countertops, and architectural elements.
  • Document measurements and compare them against design drawings and project requirements.
  • Evaluate surface finish quality, polish, and texture of stone products to ensure consistency and uniformity.
  • Identify and address any surface imperfections, scratches, or blemishes through polishing or refinishing processes.
  • Communicate with fabrication teams to provide feedback and guidance on achieving desired surface finishes.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including photos, measurements, and observations.
  • Generate quality control reports and documentation to track defects, trends, and corrective actions taken.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the office managers and installers.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects or irregularities in stone products.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting measuring tools and testing equipment.

  • Commitment to upholding quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of stone materials, properties, and fabrication processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Moreware

· Education: 3-5 years of related field experience preferred

Physical Demands

The physical demands include, but are not limited to the following:

· Constant standing

· Occasional sitting

· Constant use of hands

· Constant walking

· Occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
