Responsibilities:
- Educate and assist individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in finding employment opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the job search process
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' skills, interests, and goals
- Develop individualized employment plans for clients
- Collaborate with employers to identify job openings and facilitate placements
- Assist clients in preparing resumes, practicing interview skills, and improving job readiness
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to clients in the workplace
- Stay up-to-date on employment labor laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and addiction counselors, to provide comprehensive support to clients
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
- Strong recruiting and networking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to individuals seeking employment
- Familiarity with workforce development programs and resources
- Experience in training development is a plus
