CNC PROGRAMMER

CNC Programmer Job Description

The CNC Programmer will provide on-going engineering support to the production facility.

CNC Programmer Job Responsibilities:

  • Review 3D solid models and/or part prints to determine programming needs

  • Provide single and multi-axis CNC Programming Resource in Mastercam

  • Create and maintain all documentation relating to CNC machining processes including: Set-up sheets, CNC Code and any necessary operation sketches

  • Set up and prove out programs at the machine

  • Manually edit programs using M & G codes

  • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods

  • Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions

  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes

CNC Programmer Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

    • OR a certificate in CNC programming from a technical college

  • At least five years working as a CNC programmer or manufacturing-based mechanical engineer

  • Ability to work in Mazatrol and/or Gibbs is beneficial
