CNC PROGRAMMER
CNC Programmer Job Description
The CNC Programmer will provide on-going engineering support to the production facility.
CNC Programmer Job Responsibilities:
Review 3D solid models and/or part prints to determine programming needs
Provide single and multi-axis CNC Programming Resource in Mastercam
Create and maintain all documentation relating to CNC machining processes including: Set-up sheets, CNC Code and any necessary operation sketches
Set up and prove out programs at the machine
Manually edit programs using M & G codes
Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions
Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
CNC Programmer Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
OR a certificate in CNC programming from a technical college
At least five years working as a CNC programmer or manufacturing-based mechanical engineer
Ability to work in Mazatrol and/or Gibbs is beneficial
