The Clinical Research Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Research Department. This position involves a combination of leadership tasks, administrative duties, and direct patient care. The Research Nurse Manager assigns tasks to their nursing team, evaluates their performance, and analyzes patient outcomes to identify successes and areas for improvement. They address hygiene, infection control, and best practices for administering medication. Additionally, they spend time coaching individual nurses, setting career growth goals, and facilitating communication between team members and other staff, including Physicians, Managers, Administrators, and custodial staff. Financial analysis and budget planning are also part of their responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN or MSN preferred)
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state
• One-year supervisory experience preferred
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current or pending oncology certification preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the minimum qualifications, the Research Nurse Manager’s essential duties include:

• Adherence to Regulations:
• Complying with applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures related to clinical research.
• Ensuring staff compliance with company's SOPs.
• Communication and Protocol Compliance:
• Providing timely, informative, and accurate communication with the interdisciplinary team to ensure protocol compliance and timely protocol-related procedures.
• Leadership and Staffing:
• Providing leadership and support in clinical areas.
• Ensuring adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics.
• Maintaining effective nursing staff coverage and managing operating costs.
• Staff Development:
• Coordinating, implementing, and assisting with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
• Serving as a mentor/preceptor and providing day-to-day guidance to less experienced nurses.
• Patient Services and Safety:
• Overseeing the delivery of patient services, acting as a liaison with patients and businesses.
• Continuously re-evaluating methods and approaches to ensure efficiency, quality, and patient safety.
• Reviewing workflows to maintain efficient, cost-effective, and safe operations.
• Prioritizing patient satisfaction and addressing complaints/incidents as needed.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensuring quality service delivery for all patients, staff, and physicians.
• Staying informed about changing regulations that may impact clinical operations.
