Description:

This client is a global leading supplier of magnet wire. Magnet wire coating is applying a coat of electrically insulating varnish or enamel to aluminum or copper wire used in electrical machinery. The wire is usually coated in large plants that both draw and insulate it and then sell it to electrical equipment manufacturers. The individual in this role will be a part of the the magnet wire testing laboratory.

Job Description:

-Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, performance, etc.

-Completes testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, sample orders, etc.

-Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, lubricants, etc.

-Performs inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to assure adherence to specification.

-Performs a range of tests of such complexity that attention to detail is imperative.

-Reads, understands and uses detailed instructions; performs testing; enters data, presents data, prepares reports or charts to report test results.

-Requires the use of chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.

-Assists technicians, engineers and management to analyze, solve and correct problems.

-Uses computer programs, quality systems, and tools. The person in this position is highly involved in the quality management system.

-Follow all procedures, methods and guidelines to assure quality, safety and production goals are met.

-Enters records or writes up data for company reports.

-Communicates effectively with supervisors and co-workers to give and receive information while maintaining positive working relationships.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma Required

1 Years GMP Experience

1 Years experience within quality assurance / quality control lab tech roles.

1 Years experience with basic laboratory techniques

Ability to work a 3rd shift, 12 hour schedule

Written and verbal communication skills.

Strong working knowledge of computers.

Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS.)

High attention to detail, organized, above average mechanical skills. Good analytical & problem solving skills.
