What will you do? As a Registration Specialist at Aspire HealthPartners, your job purpose will be to provide a variety of essential functionsto ensure effective operations of assigned programs.

These functions include:

  • Scheduling/Rescheduling:Insurance Verification and Review of Benefits.
  • Insurancescreening, collecting deductible, copays, coinsurance.
  • Provides financialconsultation and triage to current and potential clients, in order to determinethe individual's financial status.
  • Identify andcollect financial qualifying documents to meet financial criteria; Prepares feeestimates for the client's full course of care.
  • Develops, alongwith the client, the most appropriate payment plan; Identifies the fund sourcealong with other specific financial information.
  • Run monthly MMA and insurance verification toensure financials are up to date.
  • Program financialscreening and payment agreements.
  • FinancialScreening for alternative funders, fee collection and financial paymentagreements.
  • Complete initialand continued authorization and D/C summaries; Verifies that releases aresigned as well as client's insurance eligibility and specific coverage withindividual insurance company or employer.
  • Ensure that themaster client file is properly established in the computer system; Screenclients for determination of appropriate fund source (CBC, DJJ, MMA, DrugCourt, Insurance, SAMH, etc.).
  • Maintains an up-to-datecalendar and tracking information relevant to financial and insurance updatevia regular reports; Post collected first party fees to the individual'saccount.
  • Ensures that allfinancial documentation is completed in a timely manner and updated when theclient's financial situation changes.
  • Works with thefinance department and supervisors to identify and correct any deficiencieswith regard to financial qualifying and collection.
  • May be requiredto work at multiple locations and maintain financial and caseloadresponsibilities as well as working with specialized departments.
  • Must maintainflexibility of scheduling work tasks so that the individual can be responsiveto the needs of the Program Department on a daily basis.
  • Work in acooperative manner with Program Directors and Staff. Most importantly, allfunctions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical andprofessional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Two years ofexperience or equivalent as a Registered Medical Assistant or Bachelor's Degreewith utilization training in insurance, screening, data entry and feecollection and qualification.
  • Knowledge ofMedicaid rules and regulations. Understanding of CPT, HCPCS andbilling/contract requirements.
  • Ability to workwith challenging clients and respond to multiple needs of staff. Must bedetailed oriented and communicate effectively with consumers, care managers andpeers.
  • Level IIBackground clearance.
