I Supply Company is Hiring a Buyer Near Fairborn, OH
This position will be responsible for buying various line items including but limited to janitorial/sanitary, foodservice disposables, dry food, frozen food and refrigerated food items.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory levels at a 99.7% fill rate
- Maintain sufficient inventory levels to maximize turns and minimize backorders
- Maintain inventory and vendor files in AS400, including product information, pricing and freight costs
- Maintain E3 Inventory Management System
- Setup new vendors in and items in both AS400 and E3 systems
- Verify Purchase Order confirmations for pricing, quantity and dates
- Maintain Allergen book
- Maintain SDS book
- Review and purchase products for concept promotions
- Work with vendors to expedite orders and return product
- Cross trained on all lines and duties within the Procurement Department
- Other duties as assigned
- Associates Degree Preferred Or High School Diploma with 2-5 years of experience required
- Must be able to learn and use computer programs and be able to teach these skills to others
- Must be self-directed but able to work within prescribed parameters.
- Must be well organized and have good analytical skills
- Must be able to work well with others as required
- Speak effectively with all employees and associates
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding in a variety of situations.
- Must be able to react calmly and effectively in stressful situations to achieve company goals
- Move around office and warehouse facility as needed.
- Sit, bend, and reach with a casual dexterity for document processing and communications.
- Occasional warehouse environment with noise, dust, odors and diversity from very warm to very cold temperatures.
- Must be able to travel, as needed
