We are seeking a passionate and energetic full-time Lead Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for creating traditional and innovative coffee drinks and a commitment to customer service excellence.

You'll play a key role in our morning rush and throughout the day, ensuring every guest starts their day with a perfect cup and a friendly smile.

Responsibilities :

• Provide friendly, efficient service to all customers while fostering a welcoming environment. Assist customers with orders, preparing beverages to customer specifications
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment, ensuring they are clean and functioning properly. Maintain an overall clean and organized work area, including counters, utensils, and equipment.

Adhere to strict sanitation protocols.

• Coordinate with a team of part-time baristas, including training and quality control.
• Process transactions using the point of sale system, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Restock coffee bar supplies and alert management when inventory levels are low.
• Participate in training and strive to increase knowledge about coffee and tea varieties and preparation techniques.
• Manage service at the walk-up window adjacent to the coffee area during operating hours.

Ideal candidate will have :

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred.
• Passion for coffee, with a willingness to expand knowledge and skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasks.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• The required Illinois Food Handler Certificate prior to start date
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
