Role Description:
Resource Logistics is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist with Blood Bank Lead experience for a contract role with our client in Eureka, CA. The Clinical Lab Scientist will be responsible for overseeing blood bank operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and performing daily laboratory tasks. This position requires on-site presence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly quality and quality control review reports for the blood bank
- Review and update policies and procedures for the blood bank
- Submit FDA reportable events
- Perform specimen processing and handling
Required Experience:
- Must have Blood Bank Lead (Specialist in Blood Bank) experience
- Proficiency with Epic software
- Experience in specimen processing and handling
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading a blood bank
- Successfully taken a blood bank through an inspection as a lead or supervisor
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission Standards and FDA regulations for blood banks
- Previous experience as a Blood Bank lead or supervisor, preferably in a large facility with in-house testing capabilities
- Experience assessing blood bank operations and inspection readiness, offering suggestions, and implementing changes
- Passed at least one inspection with a regulatory agency
Certifications Required:
- CA CLS State License
