About the Position:
Under close supervision from a Senior Transportation Engineer, the Junior Engineering Technician performs engineering technician duties throughout Design and Construction. Based on annual workload, delivery commitments, and seasonal needs, incumbent may be assigned by the Department to a variety of positions in an office or field environment. Learn and perform the routine and nonprofessional tasks required by the surveying, drafting, hydraulic and engineering disciplines; construction contract administration work; and to do other related work. The primary work in this position will involve a variety of complex clerical, administrative and computational tasks as Office Engineering Technician for NR Construction, West, in coordination with District 1 Administration. A valid California drivers license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
