Controls Engineer

Hello, Akkodis has a contract job opportunity as a Controls Engineer with a well known company in the area. This role is located in Erie, PA and will be a 12 month contract to hire role. If you are interested, please review the details below.

Pay: 40/h

Essential Responsibilities

• The System Controls Engineering Contractor will work as part of the Engineering team. Primarily help testing in the power electronics lab and process test data.
• Create test documents and perform testing in the power electronics lab.
• Analyze and process Test Data. Compare with simulation data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 years of engineering experience
• Understanding Control Diagrams
• Understanding basic machine controls
• Experience with testing real time control system in lab environment
• Experience with testing high voltage power systems
• Experience using model-based tools such as MatLab/Simulink.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with heavy machinery control, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data acquisition systems
• Understanding of Power Electronics control systems.
