CareArc is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Emporia, KS

CareArc is accepting applications for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our dental team in Emporia. The Dental Assistant performs duties which assist all dental providers in the care and treatment of patients as well as occasional duties in reception, inventory and records.

Primary Functions

  • Assist dentist & hygienist during examination and treatment of patients.
  • Prepare patient, set up instrument trays and materials for treatment, and assist dentist & hygienist during dental procedures.
  • Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
  • Establish reason for visit and instruct patient on preparation for dentist's examination.
  • Stock and prepare operatory according to dentist's specifications.
  • Assist with various prosthetic and restorative procedures to include impressions, evacuation, retraction, cementation and homeostasis.
  • Monitor proper infection control techniques.
  • Maintain supply and inventory for operatory.
  • Review patient charts for completeness, as well as order processing for referrals, x-ray, etc.
  • Provide back up for co-workers when needed.
  • Inform scheduled patients of any necessary schedule changes.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting certification given preference
  • Dental Assisting experience required
  • Certification in Nitrous Oxide administration is beneficial
  • Positive attitude
