The PICU Nurse Manager must have an active CA nursing license (BSN) but would also be Masters preferred (MSN).This hospital is also expecting applicants have at least 3-5 years of pediatric nursing experience as well as 2 years of previous management / supervisory experience. 

The Key responsibilities for the Pediatric ICU Manager may include, but are not restricted to:

• Providing leadership and direction to nursing staff in the PICU, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the department while consistently encouraging staff members to pursue professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for staff members, patients, and families, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and manner.
• Serve as a mentor for nursing staff by promoting teamwork and a patient centered approach to care.
