About the Position: This position is located at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.
Job Description
  • Serve as expert System Applications and Products (SAP) Security analyst and recognized authority responsible for SAP Security Defense Forces Public Security or Human Resource management areas.
  • Develop plans and policies for new systems; evaluate technical developments in the Information Technology field; and; determine impact on present systems and programs.
  • Provide policy guidance to Information Technology management, staff and customers.
  • Support system migration coordination and status reporting, tracks regular maintenance activities, orchestrates annual system outages, and maintains operational tempo and awareness of program priorities and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the functional teams, the customer, and other system stakeholders for requirements management and alignment with the overall mission and process.
QualificationsWho May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized experience is defined as: 1 ) applying or adapting new theories, concepts, or methods for application software; 2) preparing and/or reviewing requests for approval for software and hardware acquisition; 3) leading software development in a SAP environment such as (i.e. SAP Defense Force Public Security (DEPS) or Human Resources modules); AND 4) Leading team efforts in the planning, development, operation or maintenance of software programs, practices and/or procedures specifically in financial or logistics systems.
